Soy Protein Shake and Soy Protein Shakes

A soy protein shake is a shake supplement that contains an adequate amount of soy protein which is used by our body to function properly. Studies have shown that soy protein shakes greatly aid in weight loss, and cholesterol stabilization along with many other physical and mental improvements. A soy protein shake can come in powder form, and must be mixed with water, or it can come pre-packaged in ready to drink containers. The benefits of drinking at least one soy protein shake far outweigh the benefits of eating meat or supplementing with whey protein.

Soy protein shakes contain a complete amino acid profile. This means that soy protein shakes contain all the essential amino acids the human body needs to function at an optimal level. Essential amino acids are classified as acids that cannot be synthesized by the human body and therefore must be derived from consuming food. A soy protein shake can ensure that the essential amino acid requirements are met. As Christians, we are expected to take care of our bodies in any way we know how. The bible says in 3 John 1:2 “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health even as thy soul prospereth”.

A soy protein shake taken on a regular basis has been shown to relieve menopause symptoms, repair connective tissues, facilitate memory improvement, contribute to a healthy prostate and the list goes on. In 1999 the FDA approved the health claims of soy protein and soy protein shakes. This supports the claims being made about soy protein shakes all along. While it is assumed that a soy protein shake is a must for athletes and bodybuilders, it is sometimes misinterpreted as an unnecessary supplement for the general public. That assumption could not be further from the truth.

Soy protein shakes are most commonly used for weight loss. Losing weight is a high priority in the United States and over 3 billion dollars a year is spent on products to shed those unwanted pounds. A soy protein shake is a superior form of protein and facilitates in the improvement of many bodily functions including the raising of ones metabolism, which in turn provides more energy and weight loss. Soy protein shakes are not merely an additional supplement to add to a weight loss program. A soy protein shake will complete the protein chain of essential amino acids within itself, thus requiring a person to not have to rely on meticulously adding up their amino acids from various food sources.

Fighting Fibromyalgia Naturally

Fibromyalgia is a complex debilitating condition with no known cause or cure; women are five times more likely to suffer from fibromyalgia than men especially in the age group between 25 and 45 years of age. Fibromyalgia is difficult to diagnose because its symptoms are similar to symptoms from other health conditions. Typical symptoms of fibromyalgia are pain, aches and tenderness in trigger points around the lower spine, base of the neck, between the shoulder blades, elbows and knees, depression, abdominal pain, irritable bowel syndrome, fatigue, chest pain, low-grade fever, swollen lymph nodes and insomnia are also other common symptoms. Studies have shown that people who suffer from fibromyalgia may have a dysfunctional axis between the hypothalamus, pituitary and adrenals glands.

A change in diet may help with fibromyalgia; studies have shown that a vegan type diet with plenty of raw vegetables, fruit, nuts, seeds, oats, and legumes and no salt, monosodium glutamate (MSG) and aspartame is beneficial to those suffering from fibromyalgia.

Lifestyle changes can also help with fibromyalgia; low impact exercises, cognitive therapy, stretching exercises, meditation, chiropractic treatment and acupuncture are all beneficial.

The following supplements may help if you are suffering from Fibromyalgia.

Four Types of Ads To Avoid If You Want To Keep Your Visitors Happy!

It seems like most web sites are displaying ads on their web pages these days. Some ads are not too noticeable while others are so annoying that they push visitors away and possibly make them leave the site. Pushing away visitors or potential customers is never a webmaster’s goal so its best to place ads in such a way as to avoid these kinds of problems.

Pop-up and Pop-under Ads

Some of the most annoying ads come in the form of a pop-up ad. This type of ad will open up a new browser window to display itself, and the visitor will need to close it before they can continue. Pop-Under ads are similar to the pop-up, but this type of ad opens up behind the current browser window so the user will only see it when they close their browser. The Pop-Under can be really confusing to your visitors as they thought they left the internet only to realize that there is still another window open, and this one is trying to sell them something.

Not only are pop-ups and pop-unders annoying, pop-up blockers are freely available in most web browsers. When is the last time you read a pop-up or pop-under ad? When one squeaks by my pop-up blocker I immediately close it without a second thought.

Interstitials

Interstitials are all over the internet, mostly on larger websites. They can bring in a lot of revenue and a lot of annoyance. Here is how they work. When you come to a website you will first be shown a webpage with an ad of some sort C a full page ad. To get past this page there is usually a button to click that says something like No Thanks. So your visitor is looking for information and instead they get this annoying ad that they have to figure out how to close. How annoying is that?

If you do decide to use interstitials anyway, make sure to use JavaScript to make the window disappear after a several seconds so that the visitor doesnt have to click through. That may make the ad a little less annoying. Also, do not use tracking cookies as this can make the ad appear many times if the user has cookies disabled.

Takeovers and Floating Ads

Now that mostly everyone has a pop-up blocker installed on their computer, it is time for the pop-ups to evolve into Floating ads and Takeovers. These ads appear over the content on the top of the page. Sometimes there will be a close button right away and other time it will appear after a few seconds. Still other times the close button never appears which is really annoying. Also if the close button is not clicked exactly in the correct spot they may be taken to the advertisers site. Many visitors dont return to sites that use these types of ads. So by using them, you may be pushing your customers away.

System Error Ads

One more thing to avoid is the system error and spyware infection ads. These ads will confuse many visitors and make them go away. These ads pop-up in your face with a message like your computer is infected with spyware C click here for a free scan. These ads dont know anything about the users computer; they are just trying to trick them into purchasing an inferior product.

As webmasters we all want to monetize our sites to their fullest potential. However, some ads do more damage to your sites image than anything else. Furthermore, even though some of these tactics may work for the short term, I really doubt that they are here to last as more and more internet users become aware of the latest marketing ploys.

Purchasing Spanish Property: the Legal Process Explained

It is in your best interest to hire an English-speaking lawyer to assist you in the process of purchasing regulated Spanish property. Make sure that the Spanish property is free of restrictive clauses and debts. Locate a Solicitor who can thoroughly research the property that you are interested in purchasing in Spain and provide you with a Nota Simple, rather than depending on an estate agency or a friend’s advice for the legal assistance you need.

In selecting a solicitor, make sure he or she can properly check the property’s registry, as well as identify if the property is owned by the vendor or not, and if there are any outstanding spanish mortgages as well. There are two different categories in the Spanish legal processes for the purchase of property. The first legal document is the preliminary contract, known as Contrato privado de compraventa, and the second is the completion contract, known as Escritura de compraventa.

A preliminary individual sale bill should be signed after both sides agree to the cost. The vendor must provide proof that he or she owns the property free of any charges before this Contrato privado de compraventa has been signed. The purchaser must pay the debts of their property as part of their mortgage in Spain. Nota Simple determines which properties contain overdue debts.

The completion date, overall price, and property description will all be elaborated in the preliminary sales contract. When you reach this point, you can expect to pay a deposit of 5-15%. A bonded client account is where the funds will be kept for you. A person would theoretically be able to sign the initial sales contract without a deposit, but it isn’t necessarily a good idea.

The Escritura de compraventa stage is the second or final contract stage. The purchaser will be required to pay the balance of the purchase price and all fees on the date of completion. Both the vendor and the buyer must sign the contract at the same time. This contract is equivalent to a deed on the purchased property. In front of a Notary Public the buyer will receive the deed of conveyance, which is known as escritura in Spain. In order for everything to be legal a copy of the deed will have to go through the tax office and property registry. In Spain, a Notary Public must witness all deeds of sale, which is a public official in that country. However, you need to have your own legal counsel to protect your own interests during the transaction. Part of the fees for purchasing includes property tax, and legal fees for your Notary Public.

Could The New Google Spider Be Causing Issues With Websites?

Around the time Google announced “Big Daddy,” there was a new Googlebot roaming the web. Since then I’ve heard stories from clients of websites and servers going down and previously unindexed content getting indexed.

I started digging into this and you’d be surprised at what I found out.

First, let’s look at the timeline of events:

In Late September some astute spider watchers over at Webmasterworld spotted unique Googlebot activity. In fact, it was in this thread: http://w ww.webmasterworld.com/forum3/25897-9-10.htm that the bot was first reported on. It concerned some posters who thought that perhaps this could be regular users masquerading as the famous bot.

Early on it also appeared that the new bot wasn’t obeying the Robots.txt file. This is the protocol which allows or denies crawling to parts of a website.

Speculation grew on what the new crawler was until Matt Cutts mentioned a new Google test data center h ttp://www.mattcutts.com/blog/good-magazines/#comment-5293. For those that don’t know, Matt Cutts is a senior engineer with Google and one of the few Google employees talking to us “regular folk.” This mention happened in November.

There wasn’t much mention of Big Daddy until early January of this year when Matt again blogged about it asking for feedback. http://www.mattcutts .com/blog/bigdaddy/

Much feedback was given on the accuracy of the results. There were also those that asked if the Mozilla Googlebot (known as “Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Googlebot/2.1; +http://www.google.com/bot.htm l)” in your visitor logs) and Big Daddy were related, but no response was made.

Now I’m going to begin some of my own speculation:

I do in fact believe the two are related. In fact, I think this new crawler will eventually replace the old crawlers just as Big Daddy will replace the current data infrastructure. h ttp://www.textlinkbrokers.com/blogs/comments/310_0_1_0_C/

Why is this important?

Based on my observations, this crawler may be able to do so much more than the old crawler.

For one, it emulates a newer browser. The old bot was based on the Lynx text based browser. While I’m sure Google added features as time went on, the basic Lynx browser is just that - basic.

Which explains why Google couldn’t deal with things like JavaScript, CSS and Flash.

However, with the new spider, built on the Mozilla engine, there are so many possibilities.

Just look at what your Mozilla or Firefox browser can do itself - render CSS, read and execute JavaScript and other scripting languages, even emulate other browsers.

But that’s not all.

I’ve talked to a few of my clients and their sites are getting hammered by this new spider. It has gotten so bad that some of their servers have gone down because of the volume of traffic from this one spider!

On the plus side, I have clients who went from a few hundred thousand indexed pages to over 10 million in just a few weeks! Literally since December, 2005 there’s been a 3500% increase in indexed pages over an 8 week period! Just so you know, this is also the client’s site that went down because of the huge volume of crawling happening.

But that’s still not all.

I have another client which uses IP recognition to serve content based on a person’s geographic location. If you live in the US you get American content and pricing; if you live in the UK you get UK content and pricing. As you may imagine, the UK, US, Canadian and Australian content is all very similar. In fact about the only thing noticeably different is the pricing aspect.

This is my concern - if the duplicate content gets indexed by Google what will they do? There’s a good chance that the site would be penalized or even banned for violation of the webmaster quality guidelines set forth by Google here: htt p://www.google.com/webmasters/guidelines.html#quality

This is why we implemented IP recognition - so that Googlebot, which crawls from US IP addresses only sees one version of the site.

However, a review of the server logs shows that this new Googlebot has been visiting not only the US content but also the content of the other sections of the site. Naturally, I wanted to verify that the IP recognition was working. It is. This leads me to wonder then; can this browser spoof its location and/or use a proxy?

Imagine that - the browser is smart enough to do some of its own testing by viewing the site from multiple IP addresses. If that’s the case then those who cloak sites are going to have problems.

In any case, from the limited observations I’ve made, this new Google - both the data center and the spider - are going to change the way we do things.

Eat and Lose Weight - It’s All in those MCT’s

Can You Lose Weight Through Eating?

You get fat when you consume more calories than you burn during exercise and rest. So, it doesn’t seem reasonable to assume that eating and thus taking in calories will help you lose weight. However, recent studies show that foods such as olive oil, nuts, green tea and dairy products can help control weight. These foods contain a lot of medium chain triglycerides (MCTs)

There is much support for the notion that MCTs in these foods stop hunger. After a relatively low portion, because you feel saturated, you lessen your craving for food.

Yes, I know it sounds strange. Nuts have been on the weight loss blacklist for years, but peanuts suppress the hunger feeling and are also an excellent source of protein. So, yes, in a way, eating can help you lose weight, but of course, it’s not a replacement for a healthy diet.

In fact, these foods can only help you get your energy balance back to normal. By energy balance, I mean the balance between taking in calories and burning them. It should come as no surprise that when you intake more calories than you can burn you become fat.

Eating too much and exercising too little are the main reasons for upsetting the energy balance. Food that is rich in MCTs helps you to stop eating too much. Still, exercising is something that you have to do yourself.
In my opinion, you can enjoy great food without growing fat. Eating well means being conscious about what you eat. Enjoy food consciously instead of unconsciously devouring, for instance, a bag of potato chips on the couch while watching TV.

On our website, we feature a lot of low-carb and low-fat recipes that might help. We also have a section about seafood. Fish and shellfish are high in protein and low in fat!

For example, shrimp really is a giant of a food. Shrimp has a high Omega 3 fatty acids content, is very rich in protein, vitamins D, B12 and B6. Omega 3 fatty acids combat coronary disease and are even linked to positive mood change.

So, have a shrimp cocktail to fight the “winter blues”!. Studies also suggest that a protein rich diet increases your metabolic rate. So, you burn off calories faster.

Time for a closer look at seafood and shrimp recipes?

DVD Player Software

Playing the contents of a DVD requires a DVD player and some specific decrypting software that help to play a DVD. DVD-RW and DVD+RW discs can be read on most computers, through the DVD-ROM drives and DVD recorders. They can also be read through Consumer Electronics (CE).

Computers now contain DVD drives that usually come with one of the two types of Regional Playback Control (RPC) - RPC-1 or RPC-2. The RPC is used to enforce DVD playing restrictions on users from regions across the world. It defines the geographical location where a specific DVD can be played. There are several popular DVD player software types. Most DVD player software is robust and can play DVD, VCD, or MPEG movies. Some software can also play all other video formats and multimedia files.

There are several important considerations for the DVD player software. First, it needs to be seen whether the software offers features to accommodate all types of DVD movies. These features could relate to the controlling of DVD content by parents, the ability to play movies from the computer’s hard drive, bookmark features, auto-resume playback, creation of playlists, the ability to play DVDs from other regions, and more.

The other value-added features that one needs to consider before buying the DVD player software are ability to pan and scan, digital zooming, ability to capture the image and so on.

The ease of use should be the next consideration. It needs to be seen whether the user control system is easy to use. The other considerations while selecting DVD player software is the ease of installation and setup, the video and audio quality, and the availability of help documentation.

DVD videos contain systems to restrict the DVD user through Macrovision, Content Scrambling System (CSS), disabled user operations (UOPs) and region codes. The use of CSS has resulted in several major problems. When attempts were made to bypass CCS by reverse engineering, it resulted in a legal battle in the US. Beyond the US, however, the anti-CSS software is widely used. The Internet today provides several software programs to view DVDs on a number of platforms.

DVD Audio discs employ similar copy prevention mechanisms. Known as Content Protection for Prerecorded Media (CPRM / CPPM), the mechanism is supported by DVD+RW Alliance and helps prevent the illegal use of DVDs.

DVD Software provides detailed information on DVD Software, DVD Burning Software, DVD Player Software, VHS to DVD Software and more. DVD Software is affiliated with Audio DVD Ripper Downloads.

Bryan Ellis comments on Virtual Real Estate Investing

Landlords and rehabbers take notice - you may soon be focused on the new concepts of “Virtual Real Estate Investing“. What is meant by “Virtual Real Estate Investing” ranges from online games like SecondLife (where real profit can be made) to the use of internet technologies to make normal real estate investors more profitable.

To get the facts, I sought out the man generally considered to be the father of virtual real estate investing: Bryan Ellis.

“I began using the term ‘virtual real estate investing’ in the late 1990’s when I realized the clear similiarities in profit strategies, regardless of whether the “real estate” is “virtual” or “physical” said Ellis.

An example of the similar nature of “virtual” and “physical” real estate Bryan Ellis likes to point out is the methods of making a profit from domain names compared to physical real estate. He points out that control of a domain name or even a specific web page is much like controlling a real estate property ” those assets can be monetized in similar ways: By selling them for a profit, by leasing them, by offering advertising, etc.

I must admit: Its easy to see the parallels. Consider: A valuable piece of real estate is valuable largely due to the interest that other people have in that specific location. Similarly, ownership of a desirable domain name is valuable for the same reasons. Regardless of the type of asset, you can sell or lease or use any number of strategies to turn the assets into cash.

In our next installment of this series on virtual real estate investing, Bryan Ellis will share the internet analogies to the physical concept of real estate development.

Death Sentences are Cruel and Unusual Treatment and Unjust?

Many believe that “There is something wrong with a society that believes that to teach people that taking another human beings life is inappropriate by taking another human beings life.” Indeed others say the Death Sentences and Capital Punishment do not make any sense for that reason.

Yet, I do not believe we have a death sentence or capital punishment to teach people right and wrong. Rather to scare the ever-living crap out of them and let them know we will kill them if they do. It is a “Fear” based law and deterrent, as humankind seeks self-preservation above all. With Capital Punishment on the books less people seek to kill others, plus, live time imprisonment costs too much for every year in jail we could send 8 kids to a full ride scholarship of their choice, so death sentences makes sense in that regard. So in that regard is does make sense you see?

If having a death sentence exists then fewer people will kill other people and that is a good thing for society not a bad thing. If we put fear of punishment into the system of laws such as capital punishment then we do serve the greater good in many regards, as it prevents more senseless murders. Are death sentences cruel and unusual? Or are the ones who kill others in cold blood and leave their bodies to rot the cruel ones? You decide. Consider this in 2006.

Further Thoughts You’ll Need Next Time You Go Shopping For a HealthCare Insurance Policy

Prohibited Marketing Practices. It is unlawful for a company or agent to use high pressure tactics to force or frighten you into buying a Medigap policy, or to make fraudulent or misleading comparisons to get you to switch from one company or policy to another. Deceptive “cold lead” advertising also is prohibited. This lactic involves mailings to identify individuals who might be interested in buying insurance. If you fill in and return the card enclosed in the mailing, the card may be sold to an insurance agent who will try to sell you a policy.

Check Your Right to Renew. States now require that Medigap policies be guaranteed renewable. This means that the company can refuse to renew your policy only if you do not pay the premiums or you made material misrepresentations on the application. Beware of older policies that let the company refuse to renew on an individual basis. These policies provide the least permanent coverage. Even though your policy may be guaranteed renewable the company may adjust the premiums from time to time. Some policies have premiums which increase as you grow older.

Know With Whom You’re Dealing. A company must meet certain qualifications to do business in your state. You should check with your state insurance department to make sure that any company you are considering is licensed in your state. This is for your protection. Agents also must be licensed by your state and may be required by the state to carry proof of licensure showing their name and the company they represent. If the agent cannot verify that he or she is licensed, do not buy from that person. A business card is not a license.

Keep Agents’ and/or Companies’ Names, Addresses and Telephone Numbers. Write down the agents’ and/or companies’ names, addresses and telephone numbers or ask for a business card that provides all that information.

If You Decide To Buy, Complete the Application Carefully. Do not believe an insurance agent who tells you that your medical history on an application is not important. Some companies ask for detailed medical information. If you leave out any of the medical information requested, coverage could be refused for a period of time for any medical condition you neglected to mention. The company also could deny a claim for treatment of an undisclosed condition and/or cancel your policy.

Look For an Outline of Coverage. You must be given a clearly worded summary of the policy… READ IT CAREFULLY.

Do Not Pay Cash. Pay by check, money order or bank draft made payable to the insurance company, not to the agent or anyone else. Get a receipt with the insurance company’s name, address and telephone number for your records.

Policy Delivery or Refunds Should be Prompt. The insurance company should deliver a policy within 30 days. If it does not, contact the company and obtain in writing the reason for the delay. If 60 days go by without a response, contact your state insurance department.

Use the “Free-Look” Provision. Insurance companies must give you at least 30 days to review a Medigap policy. If you decide you don’t want the policy, send it back to the agent or company within 30 days of receiving it and ask for a refund of all premiums you paid. Contact your state insurance department if you have a problem getting a refund.

And again, do not rush or be pressured into deciding on a policy. Trusting salespeople will take their time with you. If you are uncertain about a particular program, have the salesperson tell it to someone else, this sometimes helps too.
